Q: How do Linear PERS consoles work on Digital Cable Telephone Networks?
A: Comcast Tested, and passed the Linear PERS-2400 and PERS-3600 consoles for use on the Comcast Digital Voice network during 2010. See the attached notification for their voice network, which they refer to as "Xfinity Voice".
Eighteen months ago, the Security Alarm industry was reluctant to offer contracts to subscribers who had any telephone connection other than standard, Public Switched Telephone Network connections. Industry acceptance of Digital Cable Telephone service (such as Comcast Digital Voice, Cox Cable, Time Warner, etc.) is now much more common, and in fact many of our current dealers offer contracts to subscribers with these MFVNs, or Managed Facilities Voice Networks.
