PERS Operational Range

Q: What is Linear’s recommendation for the operating range of the transmitters? Does Linear have plans for longer range transmitters than the DXS-62A and DXS-64?
A: See the "Wireless Installation Tips" section of the Product Installation and Operation Manuals -

http://www.nortekcontrol.com/pdf/manuals/PERS-3600B.pdf
Our PERS-2400 and PERS-3600 Installation & Operation Manuals specify the Maximum RF range at 400 ft, line-of-sight, open range. (The new LRP/LRW pendants increase this range by approx 20%...) Testing confirms this capability, which in real-world application allows a client to roam to their mailbox, or do gardening nearby their home.
Linear will keep our Dealer community informed, as we have efforts planned for receiver development to further extend this range.
